You don't have to stay home. Put them in underwear & when you go out put a pull-up on over the underwear. That way if an accident occurs, they feel wet (natural consequence) and you don't have a mess to clean up. My daughter was day trained in no time at all, but I'm still looking for the miracle night training secret.

@Robyn...
Thanks! I never thought about that! I'm going to stop buying diapers after this next Costco trip... I think I'll stick with the pull-ups for when we're out and night time only..

Update coming..

Thanks babe! I'm going to definitely try your suggestions.. I have no idea how long this will take... but hey... if it was meant to be easy, they would've come potty trained LOL...

First off, don't expect them to be consistent with anything. What I did was slowly ease them off the diapers (NEVER go back to the diaper was my motto and it worked). We started with regular underwear in the morning, and every week (sometimes two) I would remove the next time's diaper, and they would stay off.

Also... try taking them to the toilet with you... you sit, they sit... it most probably will work. The poop will eventually follow the pee, so no worries there.

For night time, I made sure they laid off all drinks at least two hours before bedtime.. just for two weeks (of course they were allowed the odd sip when they were thirsty). But it just took the two weeks... now they can have a drink before bedtime and the bed stays dry all night.

Don't let it stress you out... you're home with them, and they will catch on eventually. Good luck! (Hugs)
