Apparently, They don't like change…

So today I decided they needed some serious spring cleaning done in their bedroom. Poor Monkey-See has been sneezing more lately, and I figured it was dust or some other allergies. I moved all of their furniture, vacuumed the heck out of their carpets until the little light on my vacuum cleaner turned green… They sat on my bed watching Oswald for a little bit, then they got bored and wanted to help vacuum and dust their room. I had them help me move their cribs out of the way and gave them baby wipes so they could “dust” their dressers and cribs. Monkey Do actually wanted to help me vacuum too.. It was so cute!

While they played around a bit, I moved one of their dressers across to another wall.. This dresser has their Tinkerbell lamp, their  night light, and their little radio/cd player. I figurd I could move that dresser and in its place, put the toy box and finally put up their mirror that I bought from Bombay Kids when I was pregnant.. It’s been sitting in their closet since I bought it… Anyway… Tonight, when we put them down for the night, we did the usual hugs and kisses and tucked them in. We turned on their music and night light, said Good Night, and I Love You… and closed their door. We came downstairs to get everything together to finish up on the garage so Daddy could get his truck back in..

Before we went outside, we heard the girls almost crying. They were fussing about something… we just didn’t know what. So Daddy ran up the stairs to check on them, and they were crying because their dresser was in the “wrong place” and the antenna on the radio was extended… They didn’t like that! They saw it that way when we were cleaning, because we had the music on earlier. In any case.. They didn’t like how everything was different in the dark… Daddy explained how the dresser had to stay, but he put the antenna down, and made sure they were ok. Sure enough, they quieted down and fell asleep… Makes me scared to think how they’re going to react when we move everything around and switch them to toddler beds… Yikes!

  1. Oh, I so remember those days. Moving anything out of it’s original place brought major trauma. LOL
