Do you ever have one of those weeks?
I’m having one.. It’s just been a week…. I won’t say it’s been bad, but I can’t say that it’s been good either. All I can say is.. .it’s FRIDAY!
This week has been one for Monkey See and Monkey Do to not listen to anything I’ve said. I took them out to a Music fun playdate, where they got to sing and dance, and nothing. Monkey Do was getting into it, but Monkey See was not having it.. I don’t know if she was overwhelmed by all the kids there, but she did not want to sing, dance, or really even sit with me. She went behind and sat underneath a couple of tables.. I don’t get it. I tried to get her over to us to sing along, and she fought me every second. Oh well..
When we left, we walked back to the car, and there was mud everywhere because of our week of rain… I told the girls to stay close, and not to play around int he puddles. Well, Monkey See decided she wanted to climb a little hill up to the car rather than take the path way… she fell in the mud.. LOVELY. Well, so much for lunch and shopping at IKEA… oh well. So, we piled into the van, buckled up, and drove home. That was that.
We go to the gym, and they don’t want to go home, so I have to go get them, and try to keep one with me while I catch the other one.. then, getting into the car is a chore.. Monkey See seems to like playing games, and runs to the back of the van rather than get in her seat. So I have to chase her around my van before I can leave the gym.
Home time.. they love to fight over the play shopping cart, and other random toys.. Most things they have 2 of.. so there should be no fighting.. but.. of course.. whichever one sister has is the better one, and they have to have it. GAAH.. I can’t win for losing..
I know this is only a bump in the road… They’re only 2.. Discipline is far off right now.. but they have to start learning someday… Don’t get me wrong… I love the little buggers to death.. but man.. They’re killing my sanity.. and I thought the first year was a challenge..
