Having a boy?

This is one of those completely random posts. I frequent a blog called Motherhood Uncensored. She’s the best blogger I’ve read, and has a few of them, actually. She was my inspiration actually, for this blog. She doesn’t fear writing about her thoughts, and her in-laws LOL. I couldn’t write many things that I wanted to on my personal blog, so, I started this one… anyway.. back to the topic at hand…

One of her co-bloggers is having a boy, and asking other moms to impart their words of wisdom on her…

Well, all I know is girls. I am one of two daughters in my family. I have two daughters. The list goes on. I have no experience whatsoever raising a boy. All I have are friends who have boys..

I’m going to offer some words of wisdom from some of my friends who have boys.

“Um, the one piece of “advice” I got was with a boy, you only have to worry about one penis. With a girl, you have to worry about all the penises in the world.”

“And they’ll laugh at such a young age when touched “down there” while cleaning up. It starts so early.

Oh, and they’ll try to put anything into a hole. ” ~Melissa

“Tell her that her little boy will spray her with urine, break things, climb things, destroy things, make her crazy, but one day he will tell her that he wants to marry her when he grows up, and it will all be worth it.” ~ Linda

“Boys just have to have things told to them more often than girls, and then you have to be prepared for all the unexpected questions they’ll have for any/every thing you might tell them. Always keep the upper hand in the authority department, you’ll lose most of it when they’re taller than you! Little boys need hugs and kisses, sometimes big boys need them just as bad or worse!” ~Sheila

“Boys love the words “poopy” “doody” and “pee” more than you think! ”

“Boys love to play with themselves…and hmmm…that doesn’t change when they get older either!” ~Brook

Ok.. now that first one.. I can relate to… I’m so scared of when the girls are old enough to start dating!! That will not happen for a long time… Daddy says 30, I say 35 LOL..
