I was hired by someone on Craigslist to make their window treatments for their new home… I was so excited to be given to opportunity to show off my custom sewing talent!
She showed me some photos of what she was looking for, and gave me the fabric she had already purchased.
Here’s an example of what I was able to make for her!
Faux Roman Shade

Sliding Door Drapes:

Well, What do you think?

I like the faux roman shade alot. Nice job!
good job!
How does the sliding door drape work? Do you just tie it back to one side? Also, It looks like it fits the width of a standard size door. Is it only 1 panel?
Thanks for the quick reply and the info. It helps me on my own “sliding door drapery adventure”.
I’m starting with ikea’s merete drapes which are a thick heavy cotton with giant silver grommets. I need the slide-ablitiy and weather barrier. Then I’ll sew & hang additional layers for color and style.
Happy Stitching! Jackie
