So, my two-something year olds know this little thing called the JEDI mind trick… When they don’t want me to do something.. they tell me “You don’t want to… “…
This morning, I went into their room to check on them, and Monkey See was crying.. She wanted a book, and I told her that I still needed to take a shower… So I gave her and Monkey Do each a book to read and told them to cover up with their blanket turned on the light, and turned on their music… and got outta there to take a shower… I got to my room.. got the shower on, and heard crying again.. so I ran back over to them… (yes i was wearing a robe) and Monkey See was crying again.. I just looked at her and asked “What’s wrong??? ” She looked up to me with her big brown eyes and said “Mommy, You don’t want to close the door.” Suddenly, I felt compelled to leave their bedroom door open for them…
Other times it’s “Mommy, you don’t want to watch tv” or “Mommy, you don’t want to give me ketchup”… I’ve even gotten “Mommy, you don’t want to tickle me”… although that one makes me want to tickle them even more LOL.. My favorite so far has been “Mommy, you don’t want me to take a nap.” HAHA.. Honey.. if I didn’t want you to take a nap, I’d need to check my self for a fever…

Oooh, honey! You better keep on your toes or those two little beauties will tag team big time! LOL
So smart at such a yound age. Hmm, I can’t imagine what that you be. Their parents are brilliant and you know the apple never falls far from the tree.

these kids are talented .. keep it up
I used to do that kind of stuff too. I would let it work to a very small degree…let them think they’re getting away with it every now and then. Later on in life, they’ll turn out to be great debaters and hagglers.
By the way, don’t be surprised if some of my readers start reading your blog, thinking you’re my mom. They’re kind of getting the wrong idea when they see someone called “Mommy” commenting on my blog
