I was going through my drawers the other day, and I found my favorite recipe from my grandma…
Cinnamon Lemon Cookies… It may sounds strange to some people, but they are totally scrumptious!!! I promise!!! I haven’t made them in a very long time… I just haven’t had the time… I think I’ll be baking before the week is over though!!!

Cinnamon Lemon Cookies Prep time: 20m
Chilling time: 2hrs
Baking time: 10m
Oven Temp 350F
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp grated lemon peel
1/4 tsp salt
Cinnamon Sugar
Preparation:
1. In a mixer bowl, cream together sugar and butter. Beat in egg and vanilla.
2. Combine flour, cinnamon, baking powder, lemon peel and salt. Add to butter mixture. Blend well.
3. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
4. Shape dough into small balls, about 3/4-inch in diameter. Roll in cinnamon sugar to coat.
5. Set cookies about 1-inch apart, on lightly greased cookie sheets.
6. Bake at 350F for 10 min or until edges are lightly browned.
7. Cool slightly on pans, then remove to racks to cool completely.
*Cinnamon Sugar:
Stir together 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp ground cinnamon.
