Well, North Carolina has proven to be a total adventure! We’ve seen the Crystal Coast, and the Outer Banks… We’ve been on Emerald Island, Ocean Isle, Roanoke Island, and so much more…. all in the last 5 1/2 months we’ve been here… Don’t worry, there’s still so much more for us to explore. The cool thing is, that even though the girls are only 4 years old, they’ve seen so much history, and have really loved to travel, they ask us all the time to go out on the weekends. I love it.

They had their 4 year well check today. It’s a couple months late, but better late than never. I was a little disappointed… ok, a lot disappointed. They didn’t send in the pediatrician that I scheduled an appointment with. Granted, the doctor that came in was very nice, and listened to us, I had done my research on the doctor I asked for when I scheduled the appointment… Not happy. I’m still debating what I should do about that, if anything.

Halloween is coming, and thankfully, the girls aren’t begging for elaborate costumes. They found these really cute cat & dog headbands at Michaels… and that’s what they want to use for Trick-or-Treating. Phew! I’m breaking out the Halloween crafts that I’ve been hanging on to since they came out in the stores. That’ll keep them busy for a little bit… and they love crafts…

Oh, and as if anything else could be crazy.. I’m signing up for the new 6 week challenge with EA SPORTS Active.. That challenge will go through the holidays… That means major portion control.. Not like that won’t be hard. We’re in NC, the family is in CA. Ummmm.. Yeah.. I don’t have to cook anything large. We’ll have a small scale Thanksgiving, and probably Christmas. I guess it all depends on what (if any) family make it out for the holidays. I’m hoping to get a jump start on losing weight for next year’s resolution… and sticking to it, since this year’s kinda didn’t happen like I planned….

Anyhow, dinner is ready, and I need to get everyone fed. I told you this was just a bunch of randomness

Thanks for reading… I promise… I have a very exciting (mostly) story for my next post…

I woke up Sunday morning at 230am, with a crazy pain in my upper body.. When I say upper body, I mean everything from the waist up. I got up, walked around, drank some water, and came back to bed, praying it would just go away. I walked around a little more, and sat on the edge of the bed. Weird thing was, I felt a sort of cooling/tingle go down my back, and the pain was gone… I figured it was nothing big, and laid down and fell fast asleep. Everything was ok when I woke up for the day, and I did whatever needed to be done… Around 2pm, it happened again. My entire torso was cinched in a vice. It hurt to breathe, it hurt to move, it hurt to sit/lay/stand still. I popped a couple of Aleve, and figured I’d be fine eventually… Nope… It lasted all day… It kind of faded in and out, but it stayed on. My mom suggested taking a hot shower.. and I did.. It helped for a little bit, but the pain came back. By evening, I had decided I was going to go to the doctor the first chance I got. I found my old bottle of muscle relaxers and took one just to get some sleep.

Monday morning, bright and early, I was still hurting, and was determined to get to Yoga class anyway.. I was on the phone with my doctor’s office right when they opened, in hopes to get a same day appointment with my doctor. I got one, at 245pm… What to do with the rest of the morning?? I went to Yoga.. I’m that dedicated…

While I was doing yoga, it didn’t hurt.. too bad… but the rest of the afternoon, I was hurting! My parents got here around 2pm. Mom stayed home with the napping Monkeys… Dad went with me to the doc.. I had xrays, and they showed nothing wrong with my lungs or basically my upper half… It has to be a pulled muscle, or group of muscles. He gave me more muscle relaxers, which I think I’ve taken 2 of them. I’m so scared to take them during the day because of the girls. I have to be completely alert while they’re awake, or at least, when I’m the only one home with them.

Dad and I went to the chiropractor just in case I was just outta whack… Wait.. no comments there… I’m talking about my back and ribs here… LOL.. It helped relieve some pressure on my back, but the muscle pain was still there. I think I’m just doomed… Back home, tried to clean up a bit, but OMG, it’s painful… Hmmm.. maybe I can milk this a little…*teehee*

So, fast forward through yesterday, painful day… I did what I could when I could, but I feel like crud!!! Today, it’s slightly better. I went through this super debate in my head this morning. You see, I’m leaving Gold’s Gym for reasons I’ve written about before.. and I only have 4 classes left with my super yoga instructor. I’m seriously going to miss taking his class, and I’ve tried to take as many as possible since I turned in my resignation of membership there. This morning, I went back and forth, should I go and suffer after, or should I stay home, hopefully resting so I can go on Friday? I was all ready to go. I didn’t want to miss class over a stupid bunch of pulled muscles. I was talked into staying home. Daddy and my parents told me I should stay home. Fine. I’ll stay home, but I’m not missing class on Friday… Dammit…

So this is my sob story of the day… I’m sad I missed Yoga. I’m mad I’m hurting like heck. I’m stressed out because I need to clean up and get prepared for the next 2 weeks of craziness… wish me luck!
